I am have struggled to learn a variety of instruments over the years, from saxaphone in
high school music, to electric guitar later in high school, to basic piano in college.
Most recently I finally took some voice lessons for a year in 2008, and in 2010 took
up guitar again, acoustic, electic and bass.
I like pop, rock, and some heavy metal (I grew up listening to Led Zeppelin, and I've
been known to sing Black Sabbath songs at Kareoke!). I've been a big fan of 90's
"grunge" music, although I discovered it late. I like some hip-hop, such as
(surprisingly) Eminem and 50-cent. I like Jazz and Blues, especially Jazz bass, but my
favorite has to be acoustic Spanish flamenco, such as Jesse Cook. That's what I'd like
to be able to play on guitar.
I've always been interested in music production, ever since playing with tone
generation on Commodore 64 computers as a kid. I have done some work with MIDI
composition, and have a small digital recording studio at home. If my playing ever
improves to the point where it is worth recording, I'll post it here!
